On Saturday afternoon,
Scott phoned me unexpectedly from a meeting to say he needed a lift home.
Needless to say, the house was a mess, the children were only half dressed and
I was in my slippers. Ever wondered how a mom of three leaves the house with
her children?
1) Make one
bottle of formula for the trip.
2) Order two older
children into shoes and socks.
3) Scoop all stray
toys onto an empty lounge chair.
4) Line all
children up at front door while you set burglar alarm.
5) Push
everyone out the door before you set alarm off.
6) Realise
you’ve left car keys in door…Inside.
7) Line all
children up at car and tell them, on threat of death, not to move.
8) Run
inside, grab keys and re-set alarm.
9) Run
outside.
10) Realise
you’ve left your cell phone inside.
11) Ensuring
all children still present and accounted for outside, run back inside, grab cell
phone and re-set alarm.
12) Run
outside.
13) Open car
and tell children to buckle up.
14) Be informed
by oldest child that baby seat is not in car.
15) Scoop
baby up and seat him inside car.
16) Run
inside, grab baby seat and re-set alarm.
17) Buckle
youngest in baby seat.
18) Drive
off, calm and in control.
Easy-peasy. Piece of
cake.
oh no - sounds like my house too ... 5-6 trips back inside for phone , bag, nappy bag ,drinks, keys lost and so on...
except I leave the mess LOL that will wait.
